Yellow and Black Crepe Silk Saree
Yellow and Black Crepe Silk Saree
Low stock: 1 left
Bold, graphic, and unapologetically stylish — this Yellow and Black Crepe Silk Saree from Aananda's signature collection is a party piece that commands attention from the moment you walk in. The most striking of colour contrasts, rendered in fluid silk and finished with a sequin border that catches every light in the room.
Colour & Design: A vibrant yellow digital printed pattern meets deep black in a bold, high-contrast design that is as contemporary as it is eye-catching. The black sequin border adds a glamorous shimmer that frames the saree with festive brilliance, while the separate black blouse piece with the same sequin border completes the look with seamless, head-to-toe cohesion. Designed exclusively by Aananda Collections — a signature piece for the woman who dresses with intention.
Fabric: Crepe Silk — lightweight, fluid, and with a beautiful natural drape that flatters every silhouette. Its slightly textured surface gives the digital print a depth and richness that flat fabrics cannot achieve.
Blouse: Separate 1 metre black blouse piece with sequin border included.
Size: 5.5 metres + 1 metre blouse piece | Width: 46 inches
Occasion: Parties, cocktail evenings, receptions, festive celebrations, and every occasion that calls for bold, fashion-forward glamour.
Styling Note: The yellow-black palette pairs beautifully with gold jewellery and black heels. A sleeveless or structured off-shoulder blouse will amplify the saree's contemporary drama.

Saree Chronicle
Saree Chronicle
Crepe Silk is a fabric celebrated for its distinctive crinkled, slightly textured surface — achieved through a special weaving technique where the warp and weft threads are twisted in alternating directions before weaving, creating a fabric with natural elasticity, fluid drape, and a matte-to-subtle-sheen finish. As a natural fibre, silk is inherently breathable, moisture-wicking, and temperature-regulating — qualities that make Crepe Silk particularly comfortable for extended wear at parties and festive events. Its slightly textured surface gives digitally printed designs a depth and dimensionality that smooth fabrics cannot achieve, making it an ideal ground for bold, high-contrast colour work. The yellow and black colour combination has a long and distinguished history in fashion and art — from the bold graphic prints of the 1960s mod movement to the high-contrast palettes of contemporary Indian fashion design. In Indian textile tradition, yellow holds deep cultural significance: associated with turmeric, spring, and the festival of Basant Panchami, it is a colour of joy, knowledge, and new beginnings. Black, by contrast, provides graphic definition, depth, and a modern edge that grounds the saree's festive energy. The sequin border — a contemporary embellishment technique where tiny reflective discs are applied along the border — draws on India's long tradition of using reflective materials in textile ornamentation, from mirror work (shisha) in Kutchi embroidery to the sitara work of Mughal-era court textiles. This Yellow and Black Crepe Silk Saree, designed by Aananda, brings together the fluid luxury of Crepe Silk, the precision of digital printing, and the glamour of sequin embellishment — a signature piece for the modern Indian woman who wears her confidence as boldly as her colour.
