Black & Maroon Pure Silk Ikkat Saree
Low stock: 1 left
Bold, Dramatic, and Deeply Rooted in Craft.
This Black & Maroon Pure Silk Ikkat Saree is a rare collector's piece where the ancient art of resist-dyeing meets the lustre of pure silk. Striking black with a rich maroon border, its surface alive with intricate steel grey Ikkat geometric motifs — diamonds, scrolls, and paisleys — that seem to emerge from within the weave itself. Handcrafted in Bishnupur, West Bengal.
Colour & Design
Striking black pure silk body with a rich maroon border and intricate steel grey Ikkat woven patterns — diamonds, scrolls, and paisleys — across the entire drape. The geometric motifs are created using specially dyed threads before weaving, giving each saree a one-of-a-kind character.

Saree Chronicle
Saree Chronicle
Ikkat is one of India's most ancient and complex weaving traditions, where threads are resist-dyed in precise patterns before being set on the loom. The result is a fabric where motifs appear to emerge from within the weave itself — blurred at the edges, rich in depth, impossible to replicate by printing. Bishnupur in West Bengal is celebrated for its Silk Ikkat tradition, combining the region's centuries-old silk heritage with the meticulous artistry of Ikkat dyeing. Each saree is a testament to the weaver's skill, patience, and mastery of colour.
