Saree Chronicle
Saree Chronicle
Kantha is one of India's oldest embroidery traditions, rooted in the eastern regions of West Bengal, Tripura, and Odisha. Its characteristic running stitch creates rippling, textured surfaces that transform fabric into layered art. Block printing, one of India's earliest textile crafts, uses hand-carved wooden blocks dipped in natural dyes to stamp intricate patterns onto cloth — each impression slightly unique, bearing the mark of the artisan's hand. Tie-dye, known as Bandhani in its various regional forms, involves binding sections of fabric before dyeing to create organic, resist-dyed patterns. When all three traditions meet on a single Tussar silk saree, the result is a wearable chronicle of India's textile heritage — entirely unrepeatable.

Colours are as true-to-life as photography allows. Tussar silk may appear slightly warmer or cooler depending on your screen settings and natural lighting conditions. Each handloom saree is unique — minor variations in weave, colour, and texture are a mark of authenticity, not a defect.
