Exchange Eligibility

We do not have a general exchange policy. Exchange is only possible in the case of a damaged product.

• As most sarees are single pieces, if an exchange is not possible, a refund will be issued instead.
• Exchange must be requested within 24 hours of delivery with full evidence.
• Item must be returned unused, unwashed, with original tags and packaging.

Exchange Process

• Once your exchange is approved, we will arrange a pickup within 5–7 working days.
• If pickup is unavailable in your area, you may self-ship, and we will offer a credit note of up to ₹150 towards your shipping cost.

Processing Time

• Returned items will undergo a quality check.
• If eligible, a replacement saree will be shipped within 15 working days.
• If a replacement is not available, a refund will be initiated to the original payment method for the product and shipping charge (up to ₹150, if self-shipped).

Non-Exchangeable Items

We do not accept returns or exchanges on the following:

• Customized products
• Pre-draped sarees
• Sale items

However, in exceptional cases, exchanges or refunds may be considered at the sole discretion of management under the following conditions:

Damaged Products

If your item arrives damaged or the package appears tampered with:

• Do not accept the delivery.
• If accepted, immediately take a parcel opening video and clear photos of the damage.
• Items must be unused, unwashed, and in original packaging with tags.

Berhampur — known as the Silk City of Odisha — has been weaving Berhampuri Patta sarees since the 14th century, making it one of the oldest continuous silk weaving traditions in eastern India. The city sits in the Ganjam district of Odisha, and its weavers have long been celebrated for producing sarees of extraordinary density, sheen, and structural beauty. What distinguishes Berhampuri weaving from other silk traditions is its method: each saree is woven on a pit loom by two weavers working simultaneously — one managing the warp threads, the other the weft — a collaborative technique that allows for the complex interlocking of colours and motifs that defines the Berhampuri aesthetic. The bold colour contrast of off-white and red in this saree is deeply rooted in Odishan cultural tradition — red is the colour of auspiciousness, celebration, and the sacred, associated with the worship of Goddess Durga and the rituals of marriage and festivity. The temple border — with its geometric detailing inspired by the spires and architectural forms of Odishan temples — connects the saree to Odisha's extraordinary heritage of sacred architecture, particularly the towering shikharas of the Jagannath Temple in Puri and the Sun Temple at Konark. The double pallu — a distinctive feature of Berhampuri sarees — is woven with a richer, more complex pattern than the body, incorporating multiple colours, stripes, and woven motifs to create a dramatic, celebratory end piece that is the saree's crowning glory. Berhampuri Patta sarees are protected under India's Geographical Indication (GI) registry, recognising their cultural heritage and the geographical specificity of their craft. Each piece is a living record of Odishan textile history — woven not just with thread, but with time, tradition, and the quiet mastery of two pairs of hands.
